The Centre is managed by an elected Committee which ensures that major decision making is in the hands of the parents who use the centre. The committee is elected annually at the A.G.M (Annual General Meeting).
The committee is required under our Articles and Memorandum of Association, to elect a Chair Person, Secretary, Treasurer, nine voting members and up to 3 co-opted members. Committee meetings are held the third Thursday of every month and are open to any user of the Centre to attend.
The Chief Executive provides an advisory role to the committee due to the organisations specialist focus and the requirement to adhere to law, regulation and best practice. There are six sub groups focusing on Fundraising, Children’s Centre, Higham Hill Daycare, Finance, Personnel and Outdoor Area.
